Description

The strike of a match. The light of a candle. Scent that slowly rises. Dropping the needle on your favorite LP. Sweet Ritual.

All candles are hand-poured, tucked away in the country village of Grey Highlands, Ontario. With cotton wicks, reusable amber jars with a silver lid, and ingredients that won't give you headaches like those petroleum-based candles you find at the mall, Shy Wolf candles are a purchase you can feel good about.

8 oz candles are made from North American soy wax and burn for 40-50 hours. Hand-poured in Grey Highlands with fine, phthalate-free fragrances.

Made in Canada

I WALK THE LINE: Spiced Honey, Tobacco, Smoked Oud. Smokey, spicy, complex and sweet, just like you and the one you can’t get out of your head. Smells like opening up then turning away with a quick glance over your shoulder; like the one they can never pin down cause you’re leather and lace, rough-edged and delicate all at once.

COME TOGETHER: Brown sugar, warm spices and smoked myrrh. The smell of seeing loved ones come through your front door for the first time in far too long, a much-needed phone call to help patch the distance, memories of Saturday mornings waking up on the couch after a long night out, surrounded by groggy friends.

GOLD DUST WOMAN: Incense, nag champa, nutmeg. Smells like listening to your scratched rumours record in the middle of the night, surrounded by incense while you read your birth chart.

HIGH PRIESTESS: Lavender, sage, patchouli. A calming scent that suggests that it is time to retreat and reflect upon the situation and trust your inner instincts to guide you through it.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: Cannabis, wildflower, cedar. The scent of 70s basement debauchery and being passed your first joint. Listening to Zeppelin II on the record player and having it sound ten times better than when you heard it the first time around.

FREE FALLIN: Peaches, Blood Orange, Gogi Berry. Smells like your first young love in the heat of the summer; peach juice dripping down your chin as you smile to yourself thinking they’re the one. The butterflies you get when you wonder if they’re going to kiss you tonight down by the lazy river.

CIDER : Ripe apple, clove, nutmeg. The scent of flushed cheeks, seeing your breath, cozy scarves and watching the snow fall as you curl up on the couch with your favourite book and a hot cup of mulled cider.

MIDNIGHTS: Spiced plum, cypress, saffron. A warm, sultry scent. Smells like sleepless nights spent writing lyrics in your well-worn journal, reminiscing about lost loves and lives that could have been.

ALL TOO WELL: Maple syrup, vanilla, espresso. Smells like maple lattes on a late autumn day; the wind picking up as you wrap the new scarf you bought to replace your old one tighter around your neck. Bittersweet memories of your first love and heartbreak playing over and over in your mind like a song you know all too well.

DANCING IN THE DARK: Black peppercorn, cardamom, musk, tobacco. Smells like nights at your local dive bar as you dance to the jukebox and lock eyes with a stranger after catching a whiff of their spicy perfume.

REBEL REBEL: Smells like wearing your first sweetheart’s flannel during a cool winter’s evening, their familiar scent draped around your shoulders as the local small town classic rock station plays through the static. A refreshing blend of pine, vanilla musk and amber.

SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL: Cassia, allspice, hemp seed. The spicy scent of rock n roll rebellion, freedom in an old Ford Mustang, old records scattered on the floor, the alluring possibility of the fun kind of danger.

TAKE IT EASY: Lilac, cucumber, green tea. Smells like driving through your hometown block with the windows down in the middle of spring; like bunches of lilacs that you mom picked from the garden, with notes of cucumber and green tea.

TINY DANCER: Agave, cactus flower, rose. The scent of that perfume you wore on the road trip you took with your older sister after high school graduation. That feeling of your hand out the window, catching new breezes, Elton John on the AM dial.

MORE THAN A FEELING: Sweet blackberry, ripe raspberry. Smells like the summer between 11 and 12th grade, daydreaming about your crush, turning up the radio as munch on toast with the jam your grandma made with the berries you picked with your sister.

SWEET EMOTION: Smoke, bourbon, vanilla. The scent of sneaking out to your best friend's older brother's campfire with a mickey of whiskey hidden in your boot. A memory of shouting over the crackling bonfire when Aerosmith comes on the pickup truck speaker, telling them to turn it up.

CHERRY BOMB: Smells like the electric scent of teenage rebellion and bold self-expression; like picking up an electric guitar for the first time and realizing the immense power in your hands. Bright notes of cherry candies are balanced out by the softness of vanilla and a hint of spice to ignite your passion and celebrate the wild spirit within you.

EDGE OF SEVENTEEN: Smells like the electric energy of getting ready for a night out in the city with slightly sweet yet sophisticated notes of lemongrass, orange and patchouli. You eliminate your lingering social anxiety and ignite your confidence by turning up Stevie Nicks and immersing yourself in her mix of sheer power and vulnerability. Clad in your favourite velvet jumpsuit, you howl along to the melodies that define your spirit.

HARVEST SEASON: The nostalgic scent of coming home from a long day at school where you spent the afternoon watching the leaves fall out the window, only to find your favourite elder loved one has spent the day baking your favourite fall treats. You smell nuts, spices, sugar and flour wafting through the air as you roll up your sleeves to help roll out the dough. An old, scratched record plays from the living room as you both begin to hum along.

MULBERRY: Smells like a cozy fall evening where the world outside fades away, and you're cocooned in warmth by the crackling fire. You light your candle and slowly, the rich, spiced scent of mulberry mingles with the gentle touch of white amber and the deep, woody aroma of rosewood, creating a haven of comfort. Wrapped in your softest blanket, lost in the pages of your favourite book, this fragrance captures the comfort of those tranquil moments when the rain taps softly against the window and time seems to stand still.
